Air-rifle target shooting is one of the easiest shooting sports to try: quiet, safety-first, and welcoming to complete beginners at clubs, 4-H programs, and ranges across the country. The hard part is finding out where beginners can actually start — so we verify it, one club at a time.

Honest scope: our verified directory starts in the Northeast (NY, NJ, PA, New England). We would rather list twenty clubs we checked than two thousand pins we did not. More regions are added only as they are verified.

What we verify for every listing

A directory entry here has to answer the questions a beginner actually has — or say plainly that the answer is not published. Every fact links to its source, with the date we checked it.

Can a total beginner take part?

Whether the organization states that new shooters are welcome — not our assumption from the word "range."

Can you try before you join?

Intro sessions, guest days, and whether loaner rifles exist so nobody buys gear on day one.

What does it cost to walk in?

Published first-visit fees where they exist, and membership requirements stated clearly.
